This article aims to provide an analysis of the saving and investing consumer behavior, that where researched in a time of changes after a severe financial crisis. The analyses purpose was to determine the reasons, or the way that the reasons would change, for buying different financial instruments, and also the way that the consumer perceives investing and saving. Different demographical characteristics and their influence on the financial behavior of the consumers were also studied. The investor behavior on the developed markets is being studied carefully for many years. The need to create financial products for each customer type, such as Generation Y, intensely investigated by various research teams, in different ways, resulting in different characteristics such as general proclivity to the marketing, advertising, consumerism, branding, environmental issues, fashion and even anxiety, begins to be felt also on the Romanian market. So, to better understand the actual degree of knowledge that the consumer have on the concepts of saving and investing and on that activities involved into this concepts is a very important step of the research. The research method is a survey based on a sample chosen with the simple random method undertaken in 2010. There were gathered 480 questionnaires. Research is not a statistical nationwide representative because of the lack of the financial and human capabilities. The developed questionnaire summarized 22 questions, in order to illustrate the way that saving and investing were seen, to see actual investing behavior and to measure the degree of trust given to the most known investing means. We expect that the methods of \"investing\" that are most known and used to be bank deposits because in Romania the risk appetite is a low one. The people’s appetite for saving activities we expect to be motivated by the need for purchasing consumer goods, and eventually buying a car or a house but not the desire to accumulate capital by making real investments such as those in financial assets. An important factor for the decision to invest should be a higher income and also the family structure. Study could be interesting for researchers because it offers an opportunity to view an analysis of the customer behavior on the financial market. The research instrument is complex, the mix and the large number of question should provide an accurate image of the way the Romanian consumer of financial products think and act on this market. The study also helps to understand consumers\' needs for practitioners, because this field is not a largely researched one. The originality of this article is given by the manner in which the questionnaire was made. The battery of questions, including a series of likert question, it should provide an accurate mirror of the know-how the Romanian consumer of financial products actually possess, the reasons on with their behavior is based on, and what are the most important characteristics that influence the purchase behavior.   consumer education, saving, investing, marketing research, financial market

The paper presents the mechanical characteristics of Romanian traditional cured-smoked product "Beef Pastrami" type, made by using beef rawtenderized after successive pressuring and vacuuming cyclic process. These characteristics are based on the shear force diagrams obtained by using Werner - Bratzler testing method of the final product, before and after tenderizing process by using pressuring and vacuuming cyclic process. To decrease the duration of curing / marinating period, the performed tenderizing process is represented in 24 min pressuring and vacuuming cyclic processes consisting in successive pressuring and de - pressuring cyclic processing (0…10 bar), followed by vacuumingand de - vacuuming cyclic processing (0…-0,85 bar). The paper presents characteristic shear force amount obtained by using Werner - Bratzler testing method for thetenderized and cured-smoked final product, in comparison with the no tenderized meat sample

A Decision Making Methodology in Support of the Business Rules Lifecycle

    Get PDF
The business rules that underlie an enterprise emerge as a new category of system requirements that represent decisions about how to run the business, and which are characterized by their business-orientation and their propensity for change. In this report, we introduce a decision making methodology which addresses several aspects of the business rules lifecycle: acquisition, deployment and evolution. We describe a meta-model for representing business rules in terms of an enterprise model, and also a decision support submodel for reasoning about and deriving the rules. The possibility for lifecycle automated assistance is demonstrated in terms of the automatic extraction of business rules from the decision structure. A system based on the metamodel has been implemented, including the extraction algorithm. This is the final report for Daniela Rosca's PhD fellowship. It describes the work we have done over the past year, current research and the list of publications associated with her thesis topic

The paper presents a mathematical model for compression strength for of tenderizedpork meat by using mechanical process. The mathematical model is based on compression characteristic diagrams that are experimentally determined during pork meat tenderization by using statically pressing. In order to decrease the wet curing / marinating period, the tenderizing process consists in several pressing of the pork meat, before the wet currying tenderizing for a certain period. The paper presents characteristic shear force amount obtained by using Werner - Bratzler testing method for the cured - smokedfinal product pressing tenderized, in comparison with the no tenderized cured-smoked final product sample

Department of Human physiology and biophysics, Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, The 6th International Medical Congress for Students and Young DoctorsIntroduction: The respiratory pattern represents a set of volume and time parameters which characterize respiration, and in special movements Associated with it. Indices of respiratory pattern are very sensible at various psihoemotional actions (Boiten 1994). Nowadays the psychophysiology of breath has a broader development, in special was proved that different emotions can modify the respiratory pattern ( Boiten 1998).We realised this research in order to establish the specific influence of various emotions or of emotional behaviour on the components of the respiratory pattern. In the previous researches (Boiten 1998) the influence of the emotions was studied only on a few parameters (2-3) of the respiratory pattern. Nowadays the physiological experimental practice allow us to realise a more precise and keen measurement of the respiratory pattern. Materials and methods: The study was realised on a sample of 10 healthy subjects, 6 women and 4 men aged 19 to 24 years. The respiratory pattern was recorded by respiratory plethysmography with inductance using the VisuResp (UBI France) device. All recordings were performed in the supine position. Emotional states were modeled by showing video sequences or films thru a lap- top located next to the examined person. Videos lasted 2 min each with 2 min breaks between them. Modeled emotional states: disgust, horror, amusement, sadness, fear (anxiety ), tenderness. he routes obtained were analyzed using the VisuResp software while statistical processing was performed using the StatsDirect program. The following parameters of the respiratory pattern where examined: Vt- Tidal volume(l); Ti- the duration of inspiration(sec);T- total duration of the respiratory cycle(sec);Ti/T- the part of inspiration from the total cycle; Vi/Ti- the inspiratory drive; VIF- minutevolume( air flow in 1 min). Discussion results: The analysis of the obtained results revealed that the biggest effect on the parameters studied had the feeling of digust. Three respiratory pattern values of six studied were changed statistically significant under the action of this emotional behavior. The tidal volume was decreased (0.260±0.08 vs 0.319±0.96; P<0.005) also did the minutevolume (4.55±1.37vs4.86±1.34, P<0.05) while the respiratory drive was raised (0.179±0.05vs0.11±0.04, P<0.05). The respiratory drive proved to be also sensible to the sense of fear (0.178±0.05vs0.11±0.04,P<0.05) and tenderness (0.181±0.05vs0.11±0.04,P<0.05). The minute-volume reduced at the reproduction of sadness(4.51±1.46vs4.86±1.34,P<0.05) and fear (anxiety) (4.41±1.51vs4.86±1.34,P<0.05). The character of observed changes complete the data obtained by previous authors, enlarging the knowledge spectrum on influence of emotions on respiratory pattern. These data allow us to suppose that the keen tuning of the respiratory behavior is taking place with the contest of CNS structures involved in the generation and expression of the emotions. Also these structures are involved in the tuning of respiration (Davis 1992, Masaoka et at 2012). Conclusion:The data we obtained contribute to a better understanding of the psychophysiological tuning of respiration Key-words:respiration,emotions

Black holes, gravitational waves and fundamental physics: a roadmap

    Get PDF
The grand challenges of contemporary fundamental physics—dark matter, dark energy, vacuum energy, inflation and early universe cosmology, singularities and the hierarchy problem—all involve gravity as a key component. And of all gravitational phenomena, black holes stand out in their elegant simplicity, while harbouring some of the most remarkable predictions of General Relativity: event horizons, singularities and ergoregions. The hitherto invisible landscape of the gravitational Universe is being unveiled before our eyes: the historical direct detection of gravitational waves by the LIGO-Virgo collaboration marks the dawn of a new era of scientific exploration. Gravitational-wave astronomy will allow us to test models of black hole formation, growth and evolution, as well as models of gravitational-wave generation and propagation. It will provide evidence for event horizons and ergoregions, test the theory of General Relativity itself, and may reveal the existence of new fundamental fields. The synthesis of these results has the potential to radically reshape our understanding of the cosmos and of the laws of Nature. The purpose of this work is to present a concise, yet comprehensive overview of the state of the art in the relevant fields of research, summarize important open problems, and lay out a roadmap for future progress. This write-up is an initiative taken within the framework of the European Action on 'Black holes, Gravitational waves and Fundamental Physics'
